These mounts allow you to tilt the motors forward 10 degrees. Multiple slots are machined so that these will work for most frames such as Mini Blackout, etc.
The benefit is that for ultra fast forward FPV flight, you are not staring at the ground, but the horizon. These are popular with mini racers who not only want to see horizon while flying fast, but reduce drag. Tilting motors forward accomplishes both tasks because forward pitch angle of frame is reduced.
You should either tilt your flight controller 10 degrees, or set it in software via the following command:
OpenPilot: In GCS, go to INS and change Pitch to -10
Naze32 / FLIP 32: In CLI type set align_board_pitch = +10
If you do not make adjustments to the flight controller, the quad will always be moving forward when level.
